Cool! The diagonal slash of the contrail is dramatic. Your caption makes me want to research why this is safer for birds, and if any efficiency was sacrificed. Whether or not, it’s art!

I’m still learning and forgot to write the info. let me know if you can’t find it. My dau lives very close.
What I remember is that the design prevents them from flying into it…they can see the metal cut-outs that surround the blades.
Thanks for visiting.

Duh, the metal cut-outs are the blades! I’m sleep deprived as usual.

Susan,
My daughter went out and read the info to me about the wind turbine. It is safer (they say) because the spherical shape makes it easy for them to see.

I would love to be in a position to just sit back and enjoy a sky that blue.
I have a great view of the Hudson river from the office I’m in, but way too little time to appreciate it.

Oh, and how are those blades safer?

I’ll have to get my daughter to read the info to me again.

Daughter read the sign and it says birds can see the wind turbine better because of the spherical shape.

I was on a walk to my uncle’s place with my little grands. I’m finding writing, beach and snapping pictures to all be great therapy.
Thanks again,
Patti
