My son, daughter and grands provide lots of smiles. Jon with Tiven, me with Hunter & Cora, Sara with Cameron and Nola on the end. We lost Tiven a year ago this month, so our smiles are mixed with tears. (2012)
The prompt: If you’re feeling blah, what is the one thing you do that you can count on to put a smile on your face? My biggest smiles come from my being with the people I love 🙂

I am so sorry for your loss. It seems that you have had many of them. Yet you seek to inspire in your writing, which is pretty amazing.
Getting outside usually cheers me up. Talking with my husband, feeling connected to him. Seeing friends, or hearing from people I love that I’m far away from. Thank you for the reminder- it’s good to remember that we don’t just have to accept feeling “blah”. You have a beautiful family.

Thank you for the kind words, Mariam. My list of things that make me smile is just like yours and it grows all the time. The support and kindness that I have found through social media still amazes me. P

A horrible anniversary coming round Patti. A loss you never truly get over. I’m so sorry. This makes the things that make you smile all the more valuable and I agree with you, being with family and friends is sure to raise a smile.

It seems the older we get the more hard anniversaries we have, David, as you well know. Yes, of all the things that make me smile, friends (like you) and family are the most valuable.
Hope things are well with you and that the pain of the recent mother’s day is easing.
Hugs back,
P

Thank you, Luanne. I am proud of each of them and they do bring so much happiness. We aren’t together often, but when we are, the smiles in the picture show how much it means to all of us. xo P

I’m so happy you have this photo to remind you of the happy times with Tiven. It makes me smile too remembering Jon as a little red head in diapers and little blond Sara. Now here they are so handsome and beautiful, and happy. All the struggles and tragedy can’t keep away the love and happiness.

You are so right, Vic! Glad this gave you smiles and thoughts of good memories. That is why I value my photos so highly.

Also made me think of this line. “And upon their angel faces life’s expectations lie, where the moment has preserved them from the ravages of time. “. Guess who wrote it And if you really want the grand prize (an atta girl) name the song. Love you. Oh and ps how about a picture of the front side of Kevin. Oh and pps have you been able to stay off the cigs in the presence of the mermaid bunch?

Too Many Angels, Jackson Browne. Love you too! Will work on photo of the mystery man 🙂 Fudged once on the cigs, but back on track. I am a cave woman since home, no mermaids in sight…besides the cigs don’t stay lit under water!!!!! xoxoxo
